The simple approach: split the board horizontally. Give the top 60% of the height to the Kannada name and the bottom 40% to English. Then make sure the Kannada letters actually fill their band.
| Board | Kannada band (top) | English band (bottom) |
|---|---|---|
| 12 × 9 in plaque | 12 × 5.4 in | 12 × 3.6 in |
| 4 × 2 ft | 4 ft × 14.4 in | 4 ft × 9.6 in |
| 6 × 2 ft | 6 ft × 14.4 in | 6 ft × 9.6 in |
| 8 × 3 ft | 8 ft × 21.6 in | 8 ft × 14.4 in |
| 10 × 3 ft | 10 ft × 21.6 in | 10 ft × 14.4 in |
If your board is very wide and short, a top/bottom split can make both lines tiny. Common alternatives: a taller board, or Kannada on a larger main board with English on a smaller one below. We mock up both and you pick.

The text says the board "displays 60% in Kannada". Designers read it as area, with Kannada in the upper half. Giving Kannada the top 60% of the height is the simplest way to get there.
Yes. Put it in the lower band, smaller than the Kannada name.
